You’re not going to find your typical, run of the mill sports reporting here. We don’t write recaps. Our goal is to take you inside the game by telling stories about the people inside them, hopefully shedding some light on the area’s talent in the process.
Our current coverage area includes Georgetown University, George Mason University, George Washington University, Howard University and American University.

Who we are
Jared Serre is the founder and managing editor of DC Hoops Journal. Starting in 2018, Jared covered the West Virginia Mountaineers for four seasons. After graduating from WVU in 2022, he moved to Northern Virginia.
